January 26-27, 2013 Golden Gate Kennel Club bench show at the Cow Palace. Click here for Area Map.
For those of you who don't know, a bench show is like a huge "meet the breed" event, with most of the breeds in AKC in attendance. The whole purpose of a bench show is to give the public a chance to meet and interact with breeds that they might be interested in and even see some they did not know existed. The main focus of this show is public education.
Both days are all-day events (8a.m.- 5p.m.). You can come one day (Saturday or Sunday) or both. We will have handouts and answer lots of question all weekend long. Fifteen Swissies are expecting to be there.

GGGSMDC Board Meeting Jan 26, 2013 at 7p.m. La Quinta Inn, 20 Airport Blvd, South San Francisco.
January 21, 2013 Hike in Briones - Join us and our dogs on a wonderful hike to the top of Mott Peak in Briones East Bay Regional Park. This hike is listed as one of the top hikes in the East Bay area for dogs and people by Tom Sienstra, the nature writer for the S.F. Chroinicle. The loop we will be hiking is approximately 4.5 miles and is moderately strenuous as it climbs fairly rapidly up to Mott Peak. We will depart from the Parking lot of the Briones Bear Creek and Archery staging area at 11:00a.m. Please contact Rob Blits if you need further directions.
